We are very proud to announce that Annabeth Barnes was chosen by Rev Racing and NASCAR’s “Drive For Diversity” program to join the 2013 Rev Racing Team. We look forward to the new milestones and memories, yet to come. Congratulations to the entire 2013 Rev Racing team. Read all about the team and the announcement in the coming links, posted here.
For decades, “Science World” Magazine by Scholastic has a rich history of delivering science, math and nature in a fun and interesting way to kids. In their November 2012 issue, Science World uses the karting career of ANNABETH BARNES to explain physics, intertia and aerodynamics. It’s a great article which hopefully will lead to the next generation of scientists, race fans… and Annabeth fans! Click here to see the article.
In today’s qualifying for the 100 Lap Limited Late Model race at Caraway Speedway, Annabeth captured the pole position! See her post-pole win interview at link below! After the redraw, Annabeth will be starting in the outside position on Row 1. The race starts around 3:00 pm today. Go Anna!
Hi Guys! We are racing again this Sunday at Caraway Speedway, in the 100 Lap BK Auto Limited Late Model race. Last week we only got in about 15 laps there due to rain. Hopefully we’ll have clear skies and get to run all 100 laps in this special Sunday race. Hope to see you there!
Virginia Tech head baseball coach, Pete Hughes, is a friend of AB Motorsports. He instills in his team the importance of giving back, and each year the Hokie baseball players shave their heads to support and raise money for the St. Baldrick’s Childhood Cancer Foundation.
Between now and next Monday (10/8/12), we would LOVE Annabeth fans to contribute to this good cause. You don’t have to shave your head (!), but you can donate by clicking this link: http://www.stbaldricks.org/events/mypage/9105/2012 , then click the “Make A Donation” button, and follow the prompts. If you want to, you can put “Your Name + ABM” in the Recognition Information box, to let them know we are supporting them.
No donation is too small. As Coach Hughes tells his players, “To whom much is given, much is expected.” We are all truly blessed. To our almost 6,000 facebook fans, thank you for considering donating to this wonderful organization.
