We are so excited to announce that we will be partnering with our friends at Scott McCorkle’s Liberty
Buick-GMC in 2014 to travel the east coast in the Wheelin All American Series .
Along with our other great sponsors, we plan to take our #12 Liberty car to
South Boston, Caraway, Southern National, Motor Mile, Langley, Hickory, and any
track we see along the way. I could not be more excited to begin this journey.
This season we’re going back to the basics: great driving, great sponsors, great
crew, and of course our amazing fans. Please join us in celebrating the 2014 season!
Annabeth travels to VA this weekend to race at Motor Mile Speedway with Rev Racing. She will be driving the #12 Scott McCorkles Liberty Buick-GMC late model. We are very excited to return to Motor Mile after a rain out earlier in the 2013 season. A special
thanks goes out to Rev Racing for their support this weekend, and to the entire Rev Racing crew.
Annabeth set fast time for the late model feature at Myrtle Beach Speedway this past Thursday. After qualifying there was an issue regarding tires and she was forced to start in the back of the pack. She came home 8th, and hope’s to return to Myrtle Beach Speedway in the future to get the pole and the win that AB Motorsports well deserved.
AB Motorsports will be at Myrtle Beach Speedway Thursday, the 18th. We are excited to be going back to the 1/2 mile track and have some fun! If you are in the area come out and see some great racing! Annabeth will be driving the #12 Scott McCorkles Liberty Buick-GMC late model!
CONCORD, N.C. (June 18, 2013) – Annabeth Barnes and Jack Madrid made their return to Hickory Motor Speedway (HMS) on Saturday night to compete in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series (NWAAS) twin-50 races. This was both drivers first race at the track with Rev Racing since May, but the time away didn’t seem to impact their success.
The qualifying procedure on Saturday was different due to the twin-50 schedule. Qualifying order for the first race was determined by the first lap, and qualifying order for the second race was determined by the second lap. Barnes qualified 10th for the first race and eighth for the second, while Madrid qualified eighth and sixth respectively.
Barnes had her best finish of the season, fourth, in the second twin-50 race. She came home eighth in the first race, giving her two top-10 finishes for the night. Madrid was coming off a season best fifth place finish his last time at Hickory, and managed to bring home a sixth place finish for the first race. He was running third in the second race, and looking to come home with a top-three finish, but was tangled in a wreck with two laps to go and came home ninth.
Annabeth Barnes begins the 2013 racing season TONIGHT (3/9/13) at Hickory Motor Speedway in Rev Racing’s Whelen All-American Series #21 Late Model car. While Annabeth is a veteran of HMS, tonight marks her rookie debut in the Late Model series, as well as her first race with her new team, Rev Racing. Tonight should be an exciting beginning to an even more exciting racing season for Annabeth. Come out and support Anna as she kicks off the 2013 season!
